Why Was This Project Initiated


To strengthen adult females and youth ex-offenders to prevent recidivism and by providing them a beacon of hope.At present Ukwakha Ithemba provides services socially and economically challenged areas with high levels of crime,substance abuse and violence against women and children.

Ukwakha Ithemba already has a strong presence at a number of primary and secondary schools in our area of operation,where we do prevention and early intervention work in the field of substance abuse.This has led to us building positive relationships with educators,schools management and parents.

Our Mision

Empower and support female adults and youth build new lives after incarceration through advocacy work amongst the communities and the politicians through partnership with related organizations and the Correctional Services

Our Vision

To facilitate community rehabilitation,reintegration and reconciliation for female adults and youth ex offenders trapped in substance abuse,women in the justice system and their families through advocacy,education and restorative justice.
